Standby power has become a necessity in today's marketplace.  Power grid problems have forced us to think about backup power.  Large data centers, hospitals, municipal, and federal facilities are all installing very expensiveTank sludge from tank cleaning with MTC backup generators and support systems to prevent human loss as well as data loss.  However, all of these systems have one common problem, poor fuel quality.  We do not know the quality of fuel that is delivered.  We do not take shelf life into account.  We do understand filter stoppage.  We have grown accustomed to having clogged filters.  We have accepted the dead of night service calls and emergency response tactics used in order to keep our equipment operating in a time of need.  While performing mission critical analysis, do you consider:

  • The condition of fuel at the tank bottom
  • The location of your stored fuel
  • How long your fuel is stored before consumption
  • Testing procedures for fuel
  • Reliability studies of support equipment including fuel
  • Emergency tank cleaning during critical failure
  • Systems shutdown in an emergency situation

Standby and prime power generator installations are required to provide immediate power for the length of power outages.  To do this you need to send clean fuel to the engines.  If you have stored fuel attention should be given to the condition of this fuel.  Sludge accumulates at the tank bottom over time.  This sludge is acidic and eats at tank walls.  This sludge clogs filters.  If downtime is not an option we have the solution.  See a couple of examples of how we have provided clean fuel to machinery with zero waste or annual tank cleanings.
