from refinery to user, heat & pressure of engines,
pumps & injectors, and by water & microbial

microscopic fuel components agglomerate forming larger
clusters and organic compounds. Eventually, filters clog
and sludge (microbial growth, gum, tar, varnish, wax,
etc.) accumulate in storage tanks.
