Mobile Tank Cleaning
Scenario: The fuel
tank is topped off with 20,000 gallons. The load
bank test has been performed and passed. You are
comfortable about the generator coming on line in an
emergency. Then the grid goes down and things begin to
happen. The Automatic Transfer Switch senses the loss of power and
starts the generator. The ATS sees voltage and transfers the power
from the generator, power is restored. And then
your generators shuts down from lack of fuel flow.
Sure you can change the filters but you know it is only
a short term solution. In the mean time critical
data, money and possible life is being lost and your cell phone will not stop
ringing. What do you do?
Keeping diesel fuel
storage tanks clean is one of the most important Sand
oxidized diesel fuel accumulate in the form of sludge in
the bottom of your tank or tanks. The problem
becomes larger when the dead microbial growth adds to
the layer of sludge. Once this sludge reaches the fuel
pickup it stops your operation. Correcting the
problem when this happens will cost you hundred, if not
thousands of dollars.
Preventative maintenance by inserting a line on a
service contract or scheduling a cleaning for your in
house service staff is the most cost effective solution.
